And The Nominees Are…

This morning the Academy Award nominations came out. Sadly, my phone did not ring at 5 o’clock in the morning telling me I’d been nominated. Then I remembered I don’t work in the film industry. (Does anybody know when the Tony people call?)

I know many people were upset that Harry Potter was not nominated for Best Picture. Yes, it is disappointing, but I don’t think the Academy gets sci-fi/fantasy. There should be awards for those on their own.

Here are my thoughts on some new awards and who should receive them this year. It’s all in good fun, so please feel free to share your own. And if you want to argue about them, please take that energy and put it into some charitable work. Thank you. 🙂
